Our christmas tree this year, not exactly what i usually have.......my mom got our christmas tree tag for us like every year and i didn't want to have it up to early (most of my family get it the first or so of dec.) just cause i hate fighting with the kids to leave it a lone for a whole month! and plus adam is not to fond of cutting down the tree's.(long story that most wouldn't understand!) so we waited and when i wanted to got he kept saying i am to busy to go. then the storms came and he kept saying their is to much snow in the mountains, christmas eve day, he went and got us a fake miniature one from ropers. (with the lights on it and every thing, he was so proud of him self, cause now we didn't have to string it and had very little work putting it up!)
But it did turn out pretty.these are some wood heart hair sticks that adam made for the girls,he is a sweetheart! He also made me a dish made of pottery with a lid that had hearts cut out on it. he was bumbed cause he said that it didn't work out right. cause in the dark with a candle in it, it is supposed to cast the hearts on the wall. but it is still very beautiful. i love when he makes me things with his own hands, one of the biggest reasons is cause i think of how neat it will be for my kids to getsomething that their dad made for their mom one day. that to me is romantic!
We did one big gift and some small one for the kids(the big gift were for the older two) Jessen got a guitar, which he loves! and joni got a lap harp, which is not really a harp but sounds like one. it wasn't a large christmas but the kids seemed to enjoy it just the same and i wanted to try and do things for others, we didn't do as much as i would of liked but their is one really cute story. joni and jessen made some clay ornaments to give to old ladies. we took one to a lady that so badly wanted us to come in and stay on Halloween night. joni wanted to go back and see her. so joni gave the gift and she was so happy and had a big smile and kept telling her thanks and i love it. joni was just beaming. she told joni that she loved it so much that she wanted to ware it on a necklace. joni loved that! she said that she would always remember joni and bringing this gift to her. i told joni on the way back to the truck that the lady was tickled pink and joni said yeah i love pink. I said to joni do you know what that means, she said yeah, that she is happy. Kids are smart!(it make me emotional just writing about it.) to me that is what christmas is all about, i wish i would of taken my kids to do more, but the nice part is that we can do things for others all year long, i would like to try to do that more.

aww christmas...it's funny that you can make so many memories with just one day. Christmas time is just awsome and kids make it even better.
What neat memories, I love to do stuff like that, I don't think we realize how great the impact is on our children when we do things like that. What a GREAT mom!
Marie-
What fun Christmas stories! I took our tree down on Christmas day because I was SO TIRED of pulling Estella away from it and cleaning up briken glass ornaments that the boys had knocked off.
I'm glad you liked our Christmas card. Our address is 738 Ranch Rd Grand Junction, CO 81505.
I am still laughing about that picture of the twins potty training! It is hilarious! I can picture that one coming in handy for blackmail when they are teenagers ;)
Happy New Year!
